Marking Mental Health Awareness Week in Rotherham

We’ve an event on Thursday May 17 to mark Mental Health Awareness Week in Rotherham.

The event will be in Rotherham Hospital’s reception area between 10am and 2pm.   We’re supporting the  Samaritans to promote their  helpline and will also have a display on the fantastic work our staff do on the Ferns Ward at The Woodlands. The Ferns team cater for older patients with mental health who have complex needs.

The event will run from 10am until 2pm.

Keep your eyes peeled for our events next week at The Woodlands to mark Dementia Awareness Week!

Our partners Rotherham Council asked the people of Rotherham about the importance of looking after their mental health and everyone agreed that it’s something we must consider however, over three quarters were not aware of the simple steps they can take to look after it.

Rotherham Council together with ourselves and other partners have launched the Five Ways to Wellbeing campaign to help you – you’d be surprised how much getting more active or simply taking notice of your surroundings can make a difference.
