Big hearted Rotherham NHS staff help others

Big hearted NHS staff in Rotherham have donated 50 rucksacks to our annual Christmas appeal.

The Reverse Advent Calendar was launched again by our staff in the run up to Christmas after the success of last year’s campaign.

A spin of the old festive tradition, the appeal is a way of helping families and patients of the services who have limited resources over Christmas.

Generous teams in Rotherham have donated items of food, toiletries, socks, hats, gloves and scarves and Christmas treats to fill rucksacks to give to those less fortunate and who need this type of support who use the NHS services.

Michaela Bateman, Services Manager, said: “The appeal was run last year and was a huge success, the Trust helped around 120 families and patients across Rotherham Doncaster and North Lincolnshire who were in need at Christmas time.”

“All donations are appreciated, no matter how big or small, now the rucksacks and donations will be distributed to the Trust’s services.”
