Doncaster Talking Shop has moved

A team which provides talking therapies to Doncaster people experiencing common mental health conditions has moved into its new premises.

The Talking Shop is now located within The Flying Scotsman Centre on St Sepulchre Gate West in Doncaster. The Shop is part of Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust’s (RDaSH) Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service.

The team offer free counselling and cognitive behaviour therapies to people in Doncaster to help them cope with and manage a range of mental health problems including depression, anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.

Tim Godley, Doncaster IAPT Team Manager at the Talking Shop, said: “This move means that those attending our service now have an overall improved experience. We are in a bright, modern building with excellent facilities which is close to Doncaster town centre.”

The Talking Shop therapies are available free to Doncaster residents aged 18 years and over. Local people can self-refer into the service and access a range of talking therapies and information that includes prevention and self-help literature.
