Mayors attend local health trust meeting

Dignitaries from Doncaster and North Lincolnshire have attended a Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire health trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting.

The Civic Mayor of Doncaster Cllr Linda Curran joined the Mayor of North Lincolnshire Cllr Jonathan Evison along with local residents, patients, carers and governors at the meeting held recently at Carlton Park Hotel in Rotherham on September 26.

The guest speaker Poet JB Barrington recited his powerful poem called ‘Another Way’ which features in Doncaster Council’s suicide awareness campaign to help prevent male suicide.

Visitors were able to hear about the Trust’s performance for the past year as well as seeing what is planned for the coming 12 months. There was also an opportunity to meet the RDaSH governors.

RDaSH Chairman Alan Lockwood said: “I’d like to thank everyone who came along to support our event. It was a pleasure to see so many local people turning out to hear about the hard work and achievements of our dedicated staff over the last year.”
