We have implemented a number of temporary service changes in light of the Coronavirus situation.

Our changes are:

Patient appointments and consultations

Wherever we can, our patient appointments and consultations will now be carried out by telephone or video-conferencing rather than by face-to-face meetings. This is for the safety of both our patients and staff and in line with national guidance.  Patients will be contacted by their health care professional to discuss how they will consult with them.

Doncaster Learning Disabilities

Here are the temporary service changes for our Doncaster patients. Please note that all face to face appointments have been cancelled and will be conducted via video call wherever possible. Some urgent appointments may still go ahead if both the patient and carers’ display no symptoms of COVID-19. Prescriptions will continue to be sent to Lloyds Pharmacy for either delivery or collection, for patients on shared care prescriptions will continue to be done by their GP. The main Learning Disabilities reception is now closed and no access is permitted to the general public. If you have any queries or questions, please contact the team on 01302 796467.

Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

We have introduced a number of temporary service changes for our Doncaster patients who normally attend for face to face appointments at Tickhill Road Hospital. Our Outpatient Reception area is now closed to the public and we will not be accepting any new referrals into services until further notice. Mandy Cresswell, Lead ADHD Nurse, will be conducting some routine reviews over the telephone and will be in touch with these individuals in due course. Patients will continue to be prescribed medication and those not on a shared care protocol will have them sent directly to their chosen pharmacy. Children and Young People’s Mental Health (CAMHS) 

We have implemented a number of temporary service changes in light of the Coronavirus situation. We are contacting families in advance of planned face to face appointments and offering different options for families, such as using WhatsApp and telephone calls. We continue to accept referrals and respond as quickly as possible, we are also still available for consultation with our partner agencies by telephone to discuss any young people or concerns

Talking Shops and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies services

Doncaster

The Doncaster Talking Shop and the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Long Term Conditions service have changed all their appointments to telephone/ video conferencing or Mind District online therapy programme. Referral processes for both teams remain the same. Talking Shop self-referrals via Tel: 01302 565556 and IAPT Long Term Conditions is via Single Point of Access on 01302 566999 or direct office number is 01302 379563 for any other queries.

Rotherham

The Rotherham IAPT team can be contacted via telephone 01709 447755.

Scunthorpe

The Scunthorpe Talking Shop service and referrals are now via telephone 07967 793433. A voicemail will be set up confirming if a referral needs to be made.  We are also asking patients to contact the RDaSH Crisis Team 01724 382015 if their call is of an urgent nature.

Visitors 

We have stopped visiting to all of the Trust’s mental health inpatient services, together with Magnolia, Hazel and Hawthorn Wards in order to protect patient, visitor and public health.

We appreciate that this may be difficult for our patients and their loved ones but it is in line with national guidance and we will of course do all that we can to keep patients and their loved ones connected through other means.

St John’s Hospice, Doncaster

We are allowing one visitor which has to be an immediate family member or carer.

Aspire Drug and Alcohol Service, Doncaster

If you need drug and alcohol support please telephone 01302 730956 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Queries about on-going treatment call 01302 303900.

Podiatry services in Doncaster

We have suspended routine podiatry care until further notice.  This is to keep patients and staff safe. Existing patients needing urgent treatment (ie foot wounds or infections) can call us on 01302 379550. The team is still accepting new referrals for foot wounds or infections.

Café facilities, Doncaster

Our WellBean Coffee Lounge and Flourish Café at St Catherine’s House are both closed. There is still 24/7 vending facilities near the Well Bean Coffee Lounge, Tickhill Road Hospital.

Our Food and Drink café, on the Tickhill Road site, is open for take-away meals only.

Laundry and sewing room, Doncaster

We are restricting public access to our buildings, including our laundry and sewing room on the Tickhill Road site which are now closed to the public.
