Tina, a community services patient member said: “When I had my son five years ago I had the support of a fantastic health visitor. As a first time mum it was a scary time but she was always there to offer me advice and support. Now my son is at school I feel I have time to give something back to RDaSH for all the help they have given me so when I was asked if I wanted to be a member I was keen to find out more.
“I receive a members newsletter three times a year telling me about RDaSH services, I never realised there were so many! I’m also asked for my opinion through consultations and invited to attend meetings or events for example the Council of Governor’s meetings and member’s events.
“I am really keen to be more involved as a member and to share my experiences with other mums who might be feeling worried or anxious, they are definitely not on their own!”
