The trauma and resilience service (TRS)

The trauma and resilience service (TRS) is a dedicated team of highly experienced professionals aiming to promote and implement trauma-informed practices and awareness across Rotherham.

They collaborate with local voluntary and statutory agencies to support interventions for survivors of child sexual exploitation (CSE) and their families.

How we can help

The TRS provides a diverse range of professional skills including clinical psychology, child psychotherapy, adult mental health nursing, and social work to aid interventions for CSE survivors and their families.

How the TRS can assist:

  • offer survivors choices regarding locally available resources and interventions to minimise delay and improve their overall experience
  • enhance the confidence of survivors in local services and promote their overall health and wellbeing, supporting their participation in the criminal justice process if they choose
  • develop effective and timely pathways of support for survivors and their families, ensuring appropriate referrals
  • develop effective and timely pathways of support for survivors and their families
  • acknowledge the potential for vicarious trauma experienced by key workers and offer support
