TRS Backstory

Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) began commissioning specific services for survivors of child sexual exploitation following the publication of the Jay Report (2014) and Casey Report (2015).

Both reports recognised the profound depth of trauma that the victims and their families had suffered, along with the related historical barriers to accessing appropriate services locally.

In 2019, The Trauma and Resilience Service designed the Rotherham Partnership Hub which brings together established organisations in Rotherham in an attempt to reconcile this situation,  building and promoting excellent practice in relation to trauma and capitalising upon the strength and interdependency of local services while also building greater resilience across the Rotherham care system.
