The Impact of CSE and Trauma

We are here to help adults who were Victims of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and have suffered greatly from the after effects of this experience. For a substantial number,  these experiences have had a profound affect upon every aspect of their life, it may have restricted their ability to form trusting relationships, feel comfortable and in control of their life, or to properly prosper and thrive.

For some it has formed part of a childhood that has cast a shadow so that they struggle to feel joy and confidence in parenting their own children, in finding secure and fulfilling employment and feeling generally settled.

Some may suffer extreme feelings of distrust and powerlessness and suffer extreme trauma symptoms and mental health difficulties. Some may try and block out these feeling and suffer from drug and alcohol dependency problems which further contribute to debt and housing difficulties that lead to complex lives where the original abuse becomes confused lost and unrecognised.

We can help and support survivors of CSE, their families and key workers supporting them.  You can find out more here
