MHL guardianship policy applicable to North Lincolnshire locality. This is a local authority policy adopted by the Trust.
The document sets out the practice guidance relating to the use of section 7 of the Mental Health Act 1983 (guardianship) and focuses specifically on the AMHP’s role in the application under guardianship. An application for guardianship can also be completed by the person’s nearest relative (NR).
