This plan is agreed at the trust emergency preparedness, resilience and response (EPRR) group.
This plan provides guidance and information to enable Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust to provide a response to a hazardous material (HAZMAT) or chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) incident.
This plan explains how the trust would respond in the event that members of the public or patients that are contaminated with a hazardous substance self-present at trust premises. It follows NHSE guidance for the initial management of self-presenters from incidents involving hazardous materials (NHSE England, Operations and Information, National EPRR team February 2019).
This plan is covered by the overarching trust emergency preparedness, resilience and response (EPRR) policy.
