Crisis team

The Rotherham Crisis team operates a 24 hours a day 7 days a week crisis telephone line accessible to everyone, offering triage, advice, signposting, and follow-up appointments. They also conduct thorough face-to-face assessments and consultations.

How we can help

Comprising a multi-disciplinary team, the Rotherham crisis team includes approved mental health practitioners (AMHPs), social workers, community psychiatric nurses, non-medical prescribers, support workers, and psychiatrists, providing comprehensive crisis support.

How to get help

The Crisis team assesses the risk for young patients referred and accepted by the service. Those typically referred to the crisis team might have presented at acute Trust hospitals or emergency services with increased risk or significant mental health deterioration.

Other referrals involve patients with notable concerns regarding their wellbeing within their support structure. Apart from initial assessments, the team might conduct brief intervention work with individuals over a short period.
