Hepatitis C specialist nurse
Located in Doncaster.
Our team of specialised nurses is extensively trained and skilled in managing and treating hepatitis C.
We have a pivotal role in supporting patients through their treatment journey, both in primary and secondary care settings, including local prisons.
Our nurses’ roles:
- supporting consultant-led hepatitis C clinics
- conducting nurse-led clinics at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and prisons
- engaging with drug and alcohol services in the community
- running community clinics across the borough
- providing a phone support service
How we can help
How we can assist:
- listening and addressing any concerns or queries regarding hepatitis C
- collaborating with other services involved
- educating patients and caregivers about hepatitis C
- managing side effects for those undergoing treatment
- providing support through phone consultations and medication prescribing
- assisting patients with poor venous access to blood draws
- monitoring the condition’s progress

Any adult diagnosed with hepatitis C, whether through a healthcare professional or via self-referral, can be referred to our service.
