How we can help
We understand that living with a long-term health condition can at times be challenging, overwhelming, scary, and affect your wellbeing.
Stress, anxiety, or low mood can worsen physical symptoms, making management of a condition difficult. Understanding the connection between our minds and bodies can help us manage symptoms effectively.
Self-refer to Talking Therapies and get support to live well with your physical health condition.
Making treatment work for you
Treatment with Talking Therapies for long-term conditions is more flexible than our general service, to ensure care fits around a person’s health needs:
- appointments can take place face-to-face, or via telephone, video call, or text messaging within a secure app, to ensure accessibility
- session length can be adapted to incorporate any additional support or breaks that may be required
- Talking Therapies clinicians work closely with physical health teams; We can offer joint appointments with healthcare professionals, such as specialist nurses, to address both mental and physical health needs together
