Older people’s mental health inpatient
Located in Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire.
Our older people’s mental health inpatient wards cater to adults aged over 65 facing functional mental illnesses. These conditions encompass various mental health disorders, including but not limited to:
- anxiety
 - depression
 - psychosis
 - phobias
 - dementias
 - disorders related to brain degeneration
 
How we can help
Specific inpatient services are available in different regions:
- Doncaster: Windermere Lodge
 - Rotherham: the Willows
 - North Lincolnshire: Laurel ward at Great Oaks mental health unit
 
These facilities offer specialised care tailored to the unique needs of older individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Non-urgent advice: How to get help
The older people’s mental health inpatient services do not accept self-referrals. Patients are referred through care pathways through healthcare professionals.
Contact the service
Wards are open every day:
- 10am to midday
 - 1pm to 5pm
 - 6pm to 9pm
 
If you are unable to visit at these times, arrangements can be made for you to visit at other times. We also accommodate alternative visiting times for carers or family for additional familiar support if needed.
If this is required, please speak with the nurse in charge on the ward to arrange this.
