Urgent mental health support
Opening midday on Wednesday 30 September, The Acorn Centre, at Great Oaks, Ashby High Street, Scunthorpe.
The Acorn Centre provides urgent mental health support for adults aged 18 and over.
How we can help
The service is a partnership with North Lincolnshire Mind and The People Focused Group.
The service offers immediate access to:
- emotional support
- mental health assessments
- practical help and advice
- follow-up support
- signposting and referrals to other services
- peer support from people with lived experience of mental health difficulties
Non-urgent advice: How to get help
The Acorn Centre is a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week walk-in service. Anyone can attend without an appointment.
On arrival, you will be welcomed by a peer support worker who will record your basic details and offer support.
The team will then work with you to understand your needs and provide appropriate support or help you access the most suitable service.
