Infection Prevention and Control

Good infection prevention and control is essential to ensure that people who use health and social care services receive safe and effective care.

Rotherham Doncaster & South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) is committed to reducing the risk of infection and effective infection prevention and control of infection is the responsibility of all staff. RDaSH also has a dedicated team of infection prevention and control nurse specialists, based within the Quality and Standards Team.

In any NHS setting you should expect that the environment and equipment is clean and well maintained. If you have any concerns regarding the standard of cleanliness please let our staff know or complete a “Your Opinion Counts” form.

Please refrain from visiting the hospital if you are unwell with diarrhoea, vomiting, flu or a rash to reduce the risk of infection to others.
