Qb test
The Qb test is a computer based activity that measures:
- attention
- activity
- impulsivity
It helps in the assessment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
There are two types of Qb test depending on your age:
- age 6 to 12 version, which last 15 minutes
- age 12 to 60 version, which last 20 minutes
For this appointment, it’s better if you attend by yourself.
Although, we know some young people find thisĀ difficult and we would never ask you to do something that you’re not comfortable with.
You will be asked to sit in front of a laptop screen.
There will be a camera within the room, however this camera does not record or video you. It picks up your movement by reflections.
You will be asked to wear a headband with a reflective marker, which will help us to assess your level of activity.
You will also use a responder button during the Qb test.
You will be asked to watch an instructional video, which tells you when to click and when not to click this button.
Do not worry about making any mistakes. All that we ask is that you try your best, and the clinician will make sure you understand what you need to do before you start.
The results will help the team get to know you better and will be fed back to your after your neurodevelopment assessment is completed.
During the Qb test, a clinician will also be in the room making notes and they will be sat behind you so that they do not distract you.
