Event for families to celebrate prestigious baby friendly award

Our 0 to 19 service in North Lincolnshire are hosting a celebration for families with babies, young children, or those expecting, to mark an important milestone in child and family health. The event celebrates the 0 to 19 years health and wellbeing service’s achievement of the prestigious UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) Gold Award.

This esteemed accolade represents the highest level of recognition and celebrates organisations that consistently uphold and enhance Baby Friendly standards, with a particular focus on supporting infant feeding and nurturing parent-infant relationships.

Families are invited to join the celebration on May 28 from 1pm to 3pm at Bath Halls, Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe DN15 7RG.

Paula Cafferty, Team Leader for the 0 to 19 years service said: “We’re thrilled to invite families from across the community to celebrate this significant achievement with us. Professionals from various services will be available for advice and support throughout the event. Whether you’re looking for guidance or simply want to enjoy a relaxing time with family and friends, this is a great opportunity to come together. We’re incredibly proud of our team and everything we’ve accomplished, and we can’t wait to share it with our local families.”

The event promises to be a fun and informative gathering, offering a chance for families to connect and celebrate the positive impact of the Baby Friendly standards on local health services.
