Cognitive assessments
We may invite you to do some extra assessments to get more information about you.
These assessments are to measure your strengths as well as areas you may need more support with, such as memory and problem solving.
An example of this is the Weschler Intelligence Scale for children (WISC). But there are other versions depending on your age.
These assessments can last between 1 and 2 hours and may include a range of activities.
You may find some of the activities easy, and some may be slightly more challenging.
All that we ask is that you try your best, and it will be helpful if you’re able to come into the session by yourself.
However, we know that this could be difficult and we would never ask you to do something that makes you uncomfortable.
So if you would prefer a parent to be present, please let us know.
