Neurorehabilitation inpatient

Located in Doncaster.

Our specialist service provides assessments, recommendations and high‑intensity, goal‑focused neurorehabilitation for people with neurological illness or injury.

How we can help

We offer inpatient care for up to 8 patients from Rotherham, Doncaster or Bassetlaw, supported by 10 virtual beds across Rotherham and Doncaster.

The 8 inpatient beds are based at Magnolia Lodge, Tickhill Road Hospital in Doncaster.

The unit gives each patient a personalised care plan to support them with:

  • cognitive problems
  • physical problems
  • emotional impairments
  • social or behavioural functioning problems resulting from their injury or illness

While staying at Magnolia Lodge, patients get regular support from:

  • physiotherapy
  • occupational therapy
  • speech and language therapy
  • dieticians
  • neuropsychology

While Magnolia Lodge aims to offer open visiting, the unit has protected mealtimes, for more details see visiting times. We ask visitors to leave the unit during these times to help us maintain a calm and uninterrupted mealtime for patients.

Non-urgent advice: How to get help

The service does not accept self-referrals.

Referrals are made by a health professional following a severe brain injury or neurological condition.
