  We use some questionnaires for you, your family, and your school to help us learn how you’re developing and what support you might need.

• Cognitive assessments

  We may invite you to do some extra activities that help us understand your strengths and where you might need more support.

• Autism diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS) assessment

  We may use a short conversation‑based activity called the ADOS to help us understand how you communicate and interact with others.

• Qb test

  We may ask you to do a quick computer task called the Qb test, which helps us understand your attention and activity levels.

• Diagnostic interview for ADHD (DIVA)

  We may do a chat called the DIVA, where we ask you some easy questions about your attention and activity to help us understand how things are for you.

• Assess, plan, do, review approach

  The plan, do, review approach of our children’s and young people’s autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder assessment service

• Neurodevelopmental waiting times and your right to choose

  Waiting times can be long, and you might wait a while, but you can also look at other clinics through the Right to Choose scheme to see if there’s a shorter wait.
