Psychometrics

As part of your assessment, we will hand our questionnaires for yourself, your family and your school to complete.

These give us some helpful information about different skills or needs you may have.

We mainly use the Children’s Communication Checklist version 2 and the Social Communication Questionnaire to understand social communication skill.

We also use the Camouflaging Autistic Traits Questionnaire to understand any strategies used during social situations.

We will use the CONNERS 4 booklet to understand:

  • attention activity
  • impulsivity levels

We mainly use the Adaptive Behaviour Assessment System to understand your:

  • daily living skills
  • learning skills
  • challenges

We use the Developmental History Questionnaire to understand your early history up to present day, and we’ll ask your:

  • developmental milestones
  • home life
  • emotional development
  • education
  • social interactions
  • self-care skills
  • play
  • interests
  • management of different situations

It may be helpful for you parent or caregiver to look through photos, videos or health information to remind them of your past behaviour and development.

These may be given to you by hand or sent to your house in post or completed online, and a follow-up appointment may be scheduled with a member of our team if any of these are incomplete or we need more information from you.

This information will be fed back to your after your neurodevelopment assessment is complete and will be included in your final report, which you will get a copy of.
