Lea Fountain, NExT Director

Lea has more than 20 years experience in engaging communities, influencing change and building reputation, through roles in the media, the NHS and local government.

Her current role is associate director of communications at Cambridgeshire community Services NHS Trust, where she leads communications for adult and children’s services across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Luton, Milton Keynes, Norfolk and Suffolk. Her previous communication and engagement leadership roles include Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, Milton Keynes university hospital and the Gibraltar health authority. She is a Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) chartered practitioner.

In addition to supporting organisations with the delivery of their strategic objectives, Lea is actively involved in progressing equality, diversity and inclusion both within and outside of her work. This included serving as an equality network chair in her previous role. She is also proud supporter of both the NHS rainbow badge and see me first schemes.
