Promise 6

Poverty proof all our services by 2025 to tackle discrimination, including through digital exclusion

Poverty Proofing

Poverty Proofing is a nationally recognised tool, designed to educate and enable health care professionals to identify, acknowledge, and reduce the impact of poverty, advocating for equality of access to healthcare, services and technologies that contribute to overall health outcomes experienced by those living in poverty.

As per our promise, we are carrying out Poverty Proofing audits in each of our services and making recommendations as to how we might better serve those living in financial hardship. These audits include talking to our patients, carers, staff and wider communities to ensure we hear and understand what is needed to make our services more financially accessible. You can view the reports for each of our services below. Reports will be added on a quarterly basis as we progress through this programme of work.
