Council of governors
Each NHS foundation trust must have a council of governors. Governors represent the interests of the Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) members, patients, public and staff, in monitoring how the trust is managed.
Staff when joining the trust become a member of the trust giving them the right to vote for staff governors.
RDaSH council of governors is split into three areas. These areas represent the public, staff, and partner organisations in our community.
- Public governors (including patients and carers), voted for by the public.
- Staff governors, voted for by staff.
- Appointed partner governors, nominated by the partner organisation.
