Kathryn Lavery, Chair
Kathryn Lavery, of Hull, took up her post as Chair at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber (RDaSH) NHS Foundation Trust on 1 December 2022.
Kathryn, previous Chair for Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, has a wealth of knowledge and experience. She was first appointed to an NHS board in 1998 and since then has also served as the Chair of West Hull Primary Care Trust and NHS Hull.
Kathryn graduated in Information Sciences from Leeds Metropolitan University, but spent the vast majority of her working life as a full-time officer for UNISON, the public sector union. Kathryn served as a Hull city councillor (1988 to 2007), and cabinet member for economic regeneration and business development. She was a Director of Navigo, a CIC in North East Lincolnshire delivering mental health services, and consultant to the University of Hull’s faculty of health sciences. She is very proud that she was the chair of the Hull Kingston Rovers foundation for some 8 years.
As well as her post as Chair of RDaSH, she is currently the audit chair at Locala (CIC in West Yorkshire) delivering community and social care services, and the chair of the advisory board at Space2BHeard, a CIC in Hull which delivers talking therapies.
